BHS students were treated with a visit from author and University Professor, Dr. Robert Cochran. His book, "Lights! Camera! Arkansas" is about the many ties the film industry has with the state of Arkansas. Dr. Cochran graciously presented our library with a copy of his book to add to our Arkansas collection.

There were 24 outstanding young men and women inducted into the National Honor Society at BHS, Monday night.


Alice Walker, Desmond Hammett,and Doug Echols recently visited Mr. Garcia's 8th period class to help perform mock interviews.

They have made dresses out of pillow cases to send to needy children in Africa.

Ms. Haynes and Mrs. Pierce's class welcomed Mark Brasfield and Tom Henry from the Blytheville Courier newspaper to help with their understanding of how to create a newspaper. This will help in their upcoming project of developing a newspaper over the Great Depression.

Three of the BHS FCCLA students have developed a program on manners and bullying. They recently presented the program to Mrs. Lana Murphy's 2nd grade class. The FCCLA students involved were Asia Fowler, Shardae Williams and Timya Broadnax
